The first teaser trailer for the upcoming found footage horror film “Blood” has officially dropped today at 7 PM EST, following a viral TikTok campaign that had viewers questioning whether the footage they were watching was real.

Over the past several months, a mysterious TikTok account called “justfoundthiscam” began posting unsettling videos from what appeared to be a camcorder discovered deep in the woods. The account followed a young woman named Simone, who documented increasingly disturbing paranormal events after finding the abandoned camera.

The videos quickly caught the attention of viewers across TikTok. What started as eerie clips of Simone exploring the woods soon escalated into strange occurrences, unexplained noises, and disturbing hints of something sinister lurking just beyond the camera’s frame.

Many viewers initially believed the account was documenting real supernatural activity.

The account rapidly went viral, amassing more than 10 million views and millions of likes across its videos as users speculated about whether the footage was real, part of an ARG, or connected to an upcoming horror project.

It has now been revealed that the campaign was actually part of the marketing for “Blood,” the upcoming genre found footage horror from Francesco Monti, best known for the psychological horror project Project Paranoia.

The woman appearing in the viral TikTok videos, Simone, is in fact a cast member in the film, making the social media account a clever extension of the movie’s narrative world.

The newly released teaser trailer now gives audiences their first official glimpse at the disturbing story behind the footage.

“Blood” follows two close friends attempting to create a low-budget slasher movie. What begins as a passion project slowly spirals out of control as tensions rise during production. As the pressure builds, their friendship begins to fracture, sending the project into a terrifying descent into obsession, madness, and ultimately murder.

The film aims to blur the lines between fiction and reality, exploring how ambition, jealousy, and emotional strain can transform a creative dream into a waking nightmare.

Francesco Monti writes, directs, and produces the film through Gore Culture, continuing his focus on psychologically driven horror storytelling.

Spyder Dobrofsky (Teardrop, Down Below, The Weeping) joins the project as Executive Producer alongside Jason Renaldy and Torin Penwell.

The film features an ensemble cast including Van McInish (Avengers: Infinity War), Marty Glynn (Shelby Oaks), Chris Driver (Airplane Mode), Molly Dakota (Survival of the Apocalypse), Holly Dominique (Mirage), Stephanie Knirk (Sanctus House), Nicolas Teixeira (The Wedding Game, For My Man), Kevin Hagler, Jason Barnes, and David K. Moore.

With the teaser trailer now live and the viral campaign already generating massive online attention, “Blood” is shaping up to be one of the more intriguing indie found footage horror projects currently in development.

No information on where the movie will stream is available as of now but stay tuned to Gore Culture for more updates on “Blood” or check out the movie IMDB page.
