‘Antlers’ Scribe Henry Chaisson to Direct Gothic Thriller ‘Recluse’
Henry Chaisson, known for his work on Antlers and M. Night Shyamalan’s Servant, is stepping into the director’s chair for the first time with Recluse, a gothic horror-thriller steeped in dread and dark family secrets.
Mia Vallet (Believe) leads the cast as Joan, a reclusive audio engineer who returns to her crumbling childhood estate after a distressing call from her estranged father—an acclaimed artist whose life and work are shrouded in whispers of occult obsession.
As Joan settles into the decaying mansion, she uncovers a buried legacy of madness and malevolence. Haunted by disturbing visions and hidden truths, she’s forced to confront whether the evil she faces stems from her father’s past… or her own unraveling psyche.
The cast also includes c (The Empty Man), Xander Berkeley (Candyman), Kimball Farley, Toby Poser (Hellbender), Frankie Seratch, Gillian Cooper, and Christine Nyland.
Produced by Restricted Pictures, Recluse is currently in post-production.
