The Quiet Place Saga Isn’t Dead Yet — Part III Is Being Written

A Quiet Place star Emily Blunt has confirmed that her husband, John Krasinski, is officially at work on the script for A Quiet Place Part III, sharpening the next chapter of Paramount’s massively successful creature-feature franchise.

“John is currently in his monastic writing cell, just dreaming it up,” Blunt told Deadline with a laugh. “He has barely told me anything, so I’m excited about all of it, really.”

The third installment in the post-apocalyptic sci-fi horror series is slated to arrive July 9, 2027, once again unleashing its sound-hunting nightmares on theaters.

Krasinski is set to return behind the scenes as writer, director, and producer, while Blunt is expected to reprise her role as Evelyn Abbott, the franchise’s battle-hardened matriarch who’s learned the hard way that silence is survival.

Released in 2018, A Quiet Place became a modern horror phenomenon, following a family forced to live in near-total silence to avoid lethal creatures that hunt by sound. Made on a modest $17 million budget, the film roared to life with $340 million worldwide.

  • A Quiet Place Part II* followed in 2021, earning $297 million globally as the Abbott family ventured beyond their farm and discovered the world was even more dangerous — and louder — than they feared.

Most recently, the franchise expanded with the spinoff prequel A Quiet Place: Day One, which pulled in $261 million worldwide. Set during the opening hours of the invasion, the film dropped audiences into a doomed New York City as the creatures first descended.

With Part III now taking shape in Krasinski’s writing bunker, the silence is once again gearing up to strike.
