Jack O’Connell Stares Down Horror in ’28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ Poster
Jack O’Connell stars as the menacing cult leader Jimmy Crystal on Cinemark’s exclusive poster for 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, designed by Anthony Petrie. Starting January 15, moviegoers can grab a collectible ticket featuring the artwork—while supplies last.
Filmed back-to-back with 28 Years Later, the fourth installment of the post-apocalyptic franchise hits theaters January 16 via Sony. Nia DaCosta (Candyman 2021, The Marvels) directs, with a script from franchise co-creator Alex Garland (28 Days Later, 28 Years Later).
In this continuation, the infected are no longer the only threat—survivors themselves have become unpredictable and terrifying. Dr. Kelson finds himself in a shocking new relationship with world-altering consequences, while Spike’s encounter with Jimmy Crystal becomes a nightmare he can’t escape.
The cast includes O’Connell, Ralph Fiennes, Alfie Williams, Erin Kellyman, and Chi Lewis-Parry, with Cillian Murphy reprising his role from 28 Days Later. Danny Boyle produces alongside Garland, Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, and Bernard Bellew, with Murphy serving as an executive producer.
Rated R for “strong bloody violence, gore, graphic nudity, language throughout, and brief drug use,” The Bone Temple promises to push the franchise’s horror to new extremes.
The third chapter in the 28 Years Later saga was officially confirmed last month, setting the stage for a terrifying trilogy conclusion.
