Shudder’s Sharksploitation Documentary Trailer: Explore the Weird, Wild Cinematic Legacy of Sharks on Film

In the wake of the 48th anniversary of Jaws, Shudder is celebrating the shark horror movie with a new documentary, Sharksploitation. The film will explore the weird, wild cinematic legacy of sharks on film and the world’s undying fascination with the creatures.

Sharksploitation will feature interviews with some of the biggest names in the shark horror movie genre, including Roger Corman, Joe Dante, Carl Gottlieb, Johannes Roberts, Mario Van Pebbles, and Wendy Benchley. The film will also cover everything from the Jaws sequels to more recent hits like The Shallows, Deep Blue Sea, and Sharknado.

Stephen Scarlata (Jodorowsky’s Dune) directed Sharksploitation for Shudder. The film will be available to stream on July 21st in the United States, Canada, UK, and Australia/New Zealand.
