Wes Keltner, CEO of Gun Interactive, responded on Twitter, which says it all. The game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre finally has an August 18 release date. Together with the news of a technical test for May 25, IGN has also released a new trailer for the game.

Although the technological test’s specifics have not been made public, there is a significant probability that both PCs and consoles will be tested.

As for the trailer, it’s a quick-and-dirty affair in which Family members slice and dice Victims in a suitably gory way, leading to a brief shot of Leatherface striking one unfortunate victim with the final blow. The trailer concludes with a family photograph that resembles the iconic image of the family on the porch.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: The Game will be made available on Steam and Xbox Game Pass for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
